Unsanctioned Camping is Unsafe! Fully Fund Compassionate Intervention!

Please fund budget to clean up homeless encampments. The situation in Ballard where I live has been improved vastly with clean ups. Without clean ups a sanitation and Safety NIGHTMARE...needles, rats, human waste gross

Its crucial that the City Council deal with the homeless issue & help those affected while keeping the city safe for the 99% of citizens who aren't homeless.

I'm tired of these bleeding heart socialists trying to give away our city. Vote out Sawant and the rest of these clowns.

Our parks were not built as a sanctuary for the mentally ill, homeless, or addicted. As they are now, we cannot use them for recreation because of multiple dangers including people, needles, trash, dogs, and more. Get the homeless encampments out of parks for their safety, our children's safety and our city's future.

Stop the madness. Get mentally ill off the streets and in to treatment with antipsychotic medicine.

Our city must protect all its' citizens NOT just the homeless. Compassion is a must for the mentally ill and services are a must for the addicted; but those who choose not to work and consistently refuse help must not be allowed to impose their lifestyle choice on the rest of us. Enough is enough!

I am strongly opposed to camping in the city parks. It would not be a place to connect with services for the homeless, so I don’t see the value. Also it would mean the neighborhood would be put at risk and our parks would soon look like our downtown streets; with needles and garbage strewn everywhere.

Ban homeless encampments from parks, sidewalks, trails, school grounds. Continue to offer services to people experiencing homelessness. Provide more permanent housing and shelters. Recall Council Member Kshama Sawant

Please let us help the homeless in ways OTHER THAN allowing camping in our city parks. Children and families use them as well after-school and amateur sports teams. And, the public in general who enjoy using these beautiful green spaces. Thank you fir keeping our parks clean and safe!

Regarding the Proviso: How do you determine what part of a park is "activated space"? The all parts of the parks should be for all of us to share. Camping in a park location makes that area unclean, unsafe and inaccessible to all but the person comping in that space as well as causing environmental degradation.

Public space in parks is space we all share. It's not shared anymore when some people take over pieces of it to live in. I support helping the homeless, but not by camping in our shared parks.

This latest effort by Sawant is just one more stop on the Seattle City Council Crazy Train to cesspoolville.
