Unsanctioned Camping is Unsafe! Fully Fund Compassionate Intervention!

Thank you for your efforts to end homeless outdoor camping on city property.

Why does Seattle government continue to treat this issue like it is one problem? Some people are down on their luck, and need help. We should help them if they are willing to work to get back on their feet. A lot of these "homeless" are bums and drug addicts that come to Seattle because our politicians tolerate it. I think these people should get two chances to accept help and then they get a bus ticket or a trip to jail. The politicians do not want this problem to go away. If there were no problems, there would be no need for politicians.

Our Streets are not safe due to inaction and allowing people to do what they want. We Need Leadership!

Thank you for you work. Tolerance is not compassion, and I am glad to find some who understand this. Please let me know what I may do in the future.

It would be crazy for Seattle to tie it's own hands in allowing these unsafe encampments to go unchecked. They are havens for crime and drug use--not to mention unsanitary. Allowing the camps to continue has nothing to do with compassion.

Public land cannot be occupied by any private individual. It must remain accessible and useful for all.

Enough is enough...it's time for common sense solutions!

We live next to Ravenna Park. Multiple home and car breaking are frequent occurrences on our street, not to mention the syringes, trash, and human feces found throughout the park and in our yards. Loud screaming arguments coming from the park are heard at all hours of the day and night. Initially I thought that the park settlements were being unfairly targeted as the source of crime in our neighborhood, however people on our block have repeatedly found our stolen property in these encampments. The parks are a public trust, for all to enjoy, and when public officials let people homestead in public spaces, they are giving away something that does not belong to them. Letting the homeless live in public spaces in no substitute for the social services that are needed to legitimately address homelessness.

Please govern responsibly.

Allowing homeless camping doesn't benefit the homeless and certainly doesn't benefit the city. We need to find better solutions.

Property should be set aside for home-less encampments. Just any open space is not acceptable!

Moving homeless people from one location to another doesn't work. We kick them out of one spot and they move to another. Please fund compassionate intervention!

We must have a final solution to the homeless question!

We live near Ravenna ravine, and the homeless encampments there are not safe, either for neighbors or for the men and women living there.

Elected officials: While not easy please solve this plague for the afflicted and the city at large.

We need clear oversight and accountability of taxpayer money being spent on this.

Unsanctioned camping is a threat to EVERYONE'S safety!

No use of Common Sense, or responsible and tactical methods to stop this disregard of the public trust.

We need accountability for all of the money you are throwing at this problem with no results. This city has other pressing issues like transportation, business support and tourism as well as support for all of the average taxpayers that are paying for your uninformed decisions.
