Clean up encampments and city streets so they are safe for citizens who live and work in Seattle.

Pleae, no widesoread homeless camping. I can’t wa ok the Burke Gilman without encountering cartloads of trash. Garbage, human feces. It’s a hazard to the health and well-being of the city.

I think there should be more corporations that pay for this, in Seattle. Amazon, for one, could pay for an entire building, with medical and detox staff and Jeff would still be the richest man. Build a hospital and shelter next, and take the issue to heart. Mary’s Place is going to be kicked out of the Travelodge, if they haven’t already. Instead of building spheres, you could have built an institution to help those less fortunate. Something to think about, Jeff.

Homeless encampments are not a safe or humane place for people to live, especially families with children.

We need more solutions such as those proposed by King County Assessor John Wilson. Passively allowing illegal camping in public spaces is not a solution.

Vagrancy should still be a crime! Littering is a crime. Theft, rampant drug use, how much does it take? Do your damn jobs! Kick the bums out!

These encampments must be cleaned up now. Needles, Trash, Urine and Feces smell? Seattle is starting to look like a 3rd world city, disgusting.

The local government is ruining our city. Let's address mental health and addiction, and not feed the problem we have. Everyone is fed up. Who is in charge?!

Unsanctioned camps are dangerous for the people living in them, and dangerous for neighbors nearby. How do you think all those unemployed addicts get money for their drugs?

Sawant is a danger to the future of our city and her input should be disregarded!

Seattle needs to continue to effectively deal with its homeless population. Living in tents under bridges/in public parks is an approach we should be ashamed of . Let's take pride in our city and it's services. Band-aid solutions are just that.

Sawant and O’Brien are alienating citizens and creating hostility and adversaries out of people that would otherwise be advocates. They are destroying our parks, making our beautiful green space unsafe, filled with pollution, and encouraging substandard living conditions by promoting living in parks or cars. We need housing, and resources for mentally ill, Substance abuse, and facilities to allow families and pets. We need the police to be able to enforce the laws.
