If tax paying citizens cant camp within the city, then neither should the homeless.

Approve this funding. It is unacceptable to allow our public parks to become unsafe for children and tax paying citizens to enjoy. Invest in solutions that actually help our homeless population improve their lives.

I reject the city council's attempt at ending sweeps of unsanctioned and illegal camps in Seattle. I pay taxes to live in and enjoy our city and the parks we have. Illegal and unsanctioned camps are havens for criminals as we have found rape victims, guns, illegal drugs at these camps in recent past. If our city continues to allow these camps, crime will continue to grow and our communities will be less safe.

You have the money. Use it for a permanent solution.

Shame on Mayor Burgess and Council Member Kshama Sawant. This is the same old thinking Seattle is noted for. Can we please hear from someone who can think out of the box.

The city council, at this time, is filled, 100%, with complete loons. Our political landscape here in Seattle is hopeless.

Kshama Sawant should take the money that the city is paying for her legal defamtion lawsuits, and give it to those organizations that will build more housing for the homeless.

Shame on us all that Seattle has allowed absolute squalor as the new norm for people broke down by addiction and mental illness.

Please do the right thing, both for the residents and for the homeless - work with the union gospel mission for real solutions rather than this!

Allowing this type of living conditions for the homeless is an act of cowardice. Creating a system to actually get to the root of this problem takes courage and hard work! The easy way out no longer effective in this transition!

I think the proviso sponsored by Councilmembers Sawant & O'Brian is poorly conceived, will not help those who are homeless and ultimately counterproductive. I support this petition
