Carlow Town Park is the only park in the town unfortunately families are having to stop visiting in fear of the safety of their children which is down to the pure scum that like to 'hang out' in there... It's a lovely facility that should be able to b enjoyed by all... Id say God help any security officer that has to deal with such anti social behaviour but yes 24 hour security would certainly be a help...

I support this petition in favour of full-time security at Carlow Park. This is a fantastic resource used by many local people after the area was left derelict for years. Time to put a stop to the yobs who are giving the place a bad name.

If there's going to be security it needs to be more effective than the last time when hawk security were there. Those guys didn't impress me at all. Most of them were way over Weight with their bellies hanging out over their trousers and all the seemed to be doing was chatting up the mothers.

Wish Eoin well. I often see him out on his mobile wheelchair when I'm driving into Carlow town.
