This is ridiculous. I am a single dad who works and I imagine you didn’t think of us when making this decision. My kids deserve a good education and I pay my taxes so you can afford to pay teachers to educate them. If they are only going two days, I would love the pay for those teachers the other days as I deserve it and they done of I am teaching my kid. Start thinking of this generation instead of capitulating right the politicians. We are the people, you listen to us as we pay for your job.

The kids need some normalcy in their lives. They need to be around these wonderful teachers who are over worked and underpaid who give incredible love and dedication to the lives of our children. I am forever grateful to the teachers in my 8 children’s lives and how they have influenced the.m for good.

Kids needs to be in school 5 days a week. The purpose of education is educating the kids. That's it. The 2 days policy is not about protecting the kids, therefore it is not inline with the main purpose of our tax dollars going towards education. The kids need the 5 days/week education our taxes are paying for.

I think we are doing a disservice to the children in many communities by not allowing them to be in school every day. I would be fine with shortened hours, but feel strongly they need to be in school every day. Stagger their lunches, recesses, or even a condensed school day. But kids will get farther and farther behind if we go back to the majority of online learning. I’m also willing to carpool/drive daily my older kids to allow more room on busses for kids who have the bus as their only mode of transport. I think our communities and economy will suffer badly in the near future with so many kids not participating daily in school work.

The new plan is unacceptable. Davis County infection rates are far lower than surrounding counties, and their schools are in full session.

Kids need school, parents are not trained educators. They need the social and physical activity that school brings. I am all for protecting high-risk kids and teachers, but you’re sending a message that teachers are not essential workers but road construction crews are? Teachers are more than essential they are critical and yes let’s protect the teachers the same way we protect every other essential worker and allow kids to learn from trained professionals not a screen.

Please reconsider letting our kids go back to at least a four day school week. The consistency is so needed. There is more to consider than just their health...which is not a high risk. We need to do better than this hybrid plan will do.
