Full time education for our children/grandchildren should always be most important!

I believe that the facts show it is safe enough for our children and teachers to return to school full time with some safety practices in place.

There is a lot less than 1/2% of Utah's population dying from covid-19. Kids need an education and it's far more important than any of the virus stuff going on.

My two high school kids need to be in school full time. They don’t even want to attempt their CE and AP classes with only being in class once a week.

We are a free country and need to have the choice on how we educate our children. If some are not comfortable sending their children to school then they can do distant learning. Those that are comfortable sending the children to school and believe that is the best choice for their kids then that should still be an option. If teachers are not comfortable teaching then they can teach online or they can quit and new teachers can be hired. Just like other professions have done, if you are afraid to go to work but if working from home is not an option then you must resign. We need our freedom back!

There needs to be a choice of full-time. Or homeschool. Not everyone has the luxury of staying home from work to homeschool their children how are we supposed to go to work when our kids are home?

Our kids, especially high school students need to be in class. The mental health effects are going to show to be far more serious than this virus. Most are taking college level courses and we as parents (while college educated ourselves) are not capable of teaching them at that level. This is doing a disservice to our students. Please reconsider this decision and look for better resources to keep the kids safe at school.

I support the safe return of kids to school with an option for those who do not wish to be at school to have a remote learning option. There is a way to make this work for everyone. Open the schools, set up the remote options. I predict 75+% will be back in school on day 1.

We are paying for our kids to go to school 5 days a week - listen to who is paying the bills!

Our children deserve a proper education. That doesn’t just mean the materials taught by teachers but also the social skills they develop by making and playing with friends. Send our kids back to school full time and with masks being a choice not a demand!!! Even doctors have said that rarely kids get covid but when they do, mostly they are asymptomatic and they don’t pass it on to other student, parents, or teachers!

Kids are the lowest risk group of all. They need normal routine more than anyone. Not all children come from stable, safe homes. Let them get back to school 100 percent.
