Children need the stability and normalcy of school. The fall out of from being socially isolated is far worse than the minuscule odds of getting covid.

My children need to go back to school full time. It is detrimental to their education and mental health. Please consider this!

The plan that you have put forth makes it impossible for families that need two incomes to go back to work and provide for our families.

Please do regular school 5 days a week. This has impacted my kids so much mentally. They need the interaction. They didn’t learn much with online. They hurry and burn through assignments and don’t apply themselves. Working parents can’t be there to watch every assignment and make sure they are learning, most of us aren’t Able to teach them the way the concepts are taught now. I feel for the teachers and administration and honestly I feel bad for them, I can’t imagine trying to teach on class and online and have things constantly changing. I fear my kids will have to repeat a year of school because they will be behind. I fear my high schooler won’t learn what she needs to be able to excel on ACT testing because of what she is missing in class discussions. Which will impact her for scholarships and college acceptance. I think by giving a choice if they attend in class or online was the best option, not forcing this option. I also am not a fan of doing it by last names. I think socially that in itself is going to hurt Jr. High & High School kids. My child suffered from depression and had to go to counseling do to the isolation, and change to routine. we just started working through this. We are hurting our children in so many ways. I understand the virus is scary but let us as parents decide, I support the masks.

Online learning does nothing work for our kids especially purpose oldest who has adhd. If daycares can and have stayed open without outbreaks than schools should be able to do the same.

There is absolutely no data suggesting children 0-17 should not be in school full time. I am an adolescent therapist... and I can tell you the data to the contrary (part time school for school for children) is overwhelming. The damage that will be done (on numerous levels) is inexcusable.

Let school be 100% open. We need to get back to normal.

Our kids deserve a full education. Our teachers can not be expected to teach full time in class and full time online. Something will give and our kids will suffer.

There is zero science behind keeping our children home rather than in school. Covid 19 has such a minimal impact on children, and they have found that children are not passing it. The benefits of keeping them in school and back to their usual routine is crucial for our children’s development. And because the health risks are zero to minimal, I believe it to be absolutely necessary that our children have access to all that a school offers. If, someone has unique circumstances and is fearful in sending their child, let them have the ability to choose to stay home. But the vast majority will not fall under that category. The majority of the families want our kids to be back in school.

These kids have already been hanging out all summer so what does separating them accomplish? And they will continue to hang out after school, they need to be in school.

Our kids need school. Parents that have to work now are going to have a hard time with this 1/2 time schedule. Please go back to full time school!

I’m a senior and, I know 2020 seniors had it bad, but so far all of our dances are canceled, we probably won’t have fnl, and our whole senior year will already be different even if we were going to school on a regular schedule. This schedule will take time away from friends and people I may never see again this year and opportunities and education I’ll need for college. I personally didn’t learn anything online from the last semester of last school year.

If this doesn't change, my kids will be homeschooled full time by two parents working 4 jobs between us. My kids deserve the stability of school.

Please go back to normal 5 day a week school. Kids NEED to be there even more than parents want it.
