Having my children in school part time is a huge detriment to them as I work and am unable to provide the full time teaching that they need for kids in four different grades. Our children's well being and future should be worth sacraficing for. We expect medical providers, grocery store employees, restaurant workers all to continue working as they are considered "essential". Not sure why our educators don't think educating children is essential and that they need to hide in their homes while our children suffer.

We need to get back to as normal of a schedule as possible! Our kids are already behind and suffering from the early shut down in March. Teachers should not have to be forced to teach in person as well as online. That is too much! And what about teachers with children in elementary school? Who will be taking care of them on the days they are home? What about substitutes that help out? They won't be able to work on days they have kids home, also. This has such a ripple affect on everyone! Keep school 5 days a week!

My is child entering kindergarten this year. She has been doing an online kindergarten preparedness program online for a year And struggles with the attention span for online learning. Online learning does not benefit her now or for the future. She needs to learn a schedule. Accountability. Responsibility. This is her learning career to excel her into a successful future as an adult professional. It starts from the beginning. Please let my child attend school FULL TIME so that she does not fall behind.

Please make decisions based off of what we do know, not fear. Our kids need school, our teachers need to be back in the classrooms. We have to look at the big picture and make sure the benefit of the quiet majority is considered.

We can not stop this virus. We need to learn to love with it...not love in fear. Taking AP tests at home and CE exams with many siblings is NOT a good environment. I don't have enough computers to teach all my kids at home. Switching back and forth is not an ideal learning situation. Kids need to see letters and numbers daily. My senior deserves some senior year like last year was...atleast most of it...NOT just half. If a parent is not comfortable sending their kid then let them stay online. From my standpoint it looks pretty split as it is half and half. Half want to send half don't. If we allow parents to choose what they are comfortable with then the numbers will already be half...and physical distancing can happen. These kids are willing to go with masks as it is. That's enough. As a medical professional we didn't get to have only A-K names work mon wed. We didn't get to say hold off til its safe. We HAD to show up day 1 and everyday since. Wash your hands and wear a mask. Common sense. If sick stay home...no problem. Make work online available. Be flexible.

It’s sickening to see Davis County cave to the fear mongering. Science behind children in school supports then being in school and WITHOUT masks. Stop perpetuating the misinformation and paranoia behind COVID and lead the way back to living life normally.
