This decision should not have been made without any input or consideration of the parents of the children it so massively effects.

Please for the love....stop taking everything away. Our kids need school, my 10 year old has asked EVERY DAY since June when he gets to go back to school to see his friends, his teachers, and do math in a CLASSROOM. This needs to be a choice that everyone makes. PARENTS can choose whether or not to send their kids, or whether or not to keep them home. Our teachers need their jobs. Our kids need their teachers. Our kids NEED school.

Our kids need to be back in school. Keeping them home is doing nothing for them and we as parents can’t help them. Let those who want to stay home, the option to stay home. The Academy of Pediatrics said kids should going back. Kids are not getting COVID like adults and if they do, it’s not usually that severe. Let’s not cater to the .01% and get our kids back to school. Delay it if needed, but they need to be back more than 2 days per week.

Online learning is almost completely invective. Judging from the experience of my 15 grandchildren last spring they learned almost nothing from that experience. Attending school online for most kids is just going through the motions. It is not education.

My sons absolutely need to be in school, for their mental health. Please open up the schools. Children are at the lowest risk to get this virus. The benefits of them going to school far outweigh the risks.

Wrong on so many levels to have our kids go to school 2 days a week.

Kids need a fulltime complete education. Why did Davis County change the plan already in place to a two day plan? Why not look at how other districts are doing it giving students more class time. The option is still there for homeschool or online learning.

You had already given the option for those that didn’t feel safe to stay home. There’s no reason to penalize everyone else that wants to go to school. Our numbers have been steadily decreasing not increasing. They’re better than they were when you decided to have full time in person school. At a MINIMUM students should have instruction by zoom (or in person) 5 days a week. No learning takes place when there’s not a class and a teacher giving instruction. So you’ve effectively taken away 60% of the kids education, after they already lost over 30% of last year. That’s a whole year gone! That they’ll never make up. This must be rectified. The state has said schools should be in session, Davis county is in good shape. Fix this immediately.

School is so vital to our children. They need to go back full time! The long term effects of this will be terrible, far worse than the short term. Let's use logic, reason and science. Children are at such a low risk. If the teachers are worried, they have the option to teach online. For those teachers who are not worried, let them teach the children in the classroom setting full time!

Especially take into consideration closer with special needs/IEPs. And those students with parents that work and have no one at home, they'll be in daycare instead of remote learning, increasing hazards and costs while decreasing education.
