As a mom with 3 kids in elementary and 1 in jr high, signing this petition means everything to me right now. I hope this gets changed.

Our kids mental and emotional health matter. They belong in school. All voices deserve to be heard.

My kids need real face to face school time. They were all so upset for this new 3 day home schooling. That’s saying a lot, my kids have always loved missing school in the past. They now realize how important it is to be with their teachers to learn. They need the social side of seeing friends. One of my daughters told me today after i told her about the change that she’s never been so depressed until Covid hit and she had to be home all the time trying to figure her school work out alone.

Let us go back to school for the people who want and need in person school. If you are afraid to go to school do online. Don’t punish all of us for people’s fear. Let us have a normal school year

The positives of school FAR outweigh the negatives, and the negatives/dangers of kids being out of school are FAR worse than the low risk of leaving them in school (domestic violence, online predators, lack of adequate home school capabilities, mental health, suicide rates increasing, lack of access to food, etc)...Kids need to be in school!

My kids need to go back to school FULL time. Not part time. What about parents who both work full time? What about kids that need social Interaction. What about kids that need extra help? These kids need to go back to school. And the parents that are worried have the option to do online. Let the rest of us go back to living.

I am so disappointed in Davis School District. “The American Academy of Pediatrics strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school. The importance of in-person learning is well-documented, and there is already evidence of the negative impacts on children because of school closures in the spring of 2020.”

Please let our children go to school every day! The parents that don’t feel comfortable with sending their children should opt to not send them at all. Please don’t make all the children suffer.

My 2 teenager’s mental health, and best learning opportunities are IN PERSON, especially 5 days per week. Both of my children admittedly learned nothing during the online portion this Spring. Many kids are socially motivated AT school, not at home, especially self governed. I see a much worse mental health effect on our youth than anything Covid could ever cause. Please reconsider.

Based on the numbers and statistics, there is absolutely no reason our kids should not be going to school.

Kids needs to he in school full time. They dont learn with online learning. Let herd immunity take its course. Mask up if necessary.

We will remove our kids from school. This is lunacy and goes against science.

This was done in the dark of night with no input from parents-I can’t have my 4 children suffer another semester for some small group of ignorant people who are blowing this out of proportion for political games. I want my kids in person at school 5 days a week, period.
