I worry about the kids that are in a bad home environment, abused or neglected and the only way for them to escape is to go to school. What happens to them 3 days a week ?

I realize the concerns are for the teachers and those teachers should not go back to work. We should not let thousands of students suffer from poor education. That seems like insanity. Additionally, wear masks, shields whatever protective gear you need. Kids need school. This is crazy.

As a teacher, it is of utmost importance that we send children back to school full time. They will not learn like this.

I appreciate the worries that the teachers have but also feel that the science and statistics of Covid-19 do not support this extreme measure in our schooling.

To my knowledge there is zero evidence of a child transmitting COVID-19 to a teacher. Zero evidence that closing schools helps lessen the impact of this virus. Zero evidence that children and youth are in greater danger due to school attendance. This is just another hasty, uneducated decision by the Davis school district.

For healthy students and teachers, go back to school and work! Be prepared to adjust to the alternate idea if necessary only after following the original plan. Give it a try! Allow vulnerable students and teachers to stay at home if they wish.

The majority are speaking-kids want and need to be in school. We do not want 2 days hybrid. This will be a disaster. High cases do not mean high death rate. You are looking at the wrong numbers. We need to move fwd.

Parents had a choice with the first plan that came out. You have taken our choice away.

If we can’t do all the schools back to normal how about half, then people can choose which option works best for them. Back to normal or half weeks at home etc.

Our children need social interaction and with other children as well as one on one learning not screen time. There is a reason why I am not a teacher!!
