My children do not do well with online learning. And a working Mom I don't have time to set 1 on 1 with each kid to fight them to do there work.

I would love to keep my kids at their current Davis School District school, but this new schedule is forcing us to remove our kids from the district and enroll them in a charter school.

I need my children to go back to school so me and my husband can both work and pay for our home. I’m so stressed over this and it must be changed.

Kids NEED a live teacher. My very excited first-grader went from loving school, and anxiously doing her homework packet every Monday to loathing even one worksheet during our homeschool experience. She got very nervous/emotional over any Zoom Class. We are at the beginning of my daughters academic years and the need for a solid foundation is so vitally important. I hope so desperately our children can have the chance to experience more time at school in the classroom. I must add, I selfishly want this extra time with my kiddos at home, but I think the benefit of social interaction and learning in a school setting are so essential.

My son plays high school sports. He is already at the school every day. Parents should have to choice to do online or full time school. The choice should not be made for us.

Stop the politics and the fear tactics. We would never shut down anything for something that has a 99.9997% survivability rate! If teachers and school districts are unable/unwilling to reopen, then why are we still being charged Property Taxes to fund the schools? If my kids only go half of the time, then I expect a 50% refund on those funds. If I were to choose an essential business/service to keep open, a school would definitely be deemed essential over a liquor store. I'm astounded to see that so many government officials and school district admins believe otherwise...I guess we don't need them as much as they want us to believe we do!

I have 4 children at 3 different schools and work full time outside of my home. Learning at home is a challenge for our family and the kids would rather wear masks and wash their hands 20 times a day than deal with what they did this last spring. We need our teachers, we need our schools back in session, we need routines, our kids need consistency, they need social interaction.

I believe it is in the best interest of the children to have them return to school for the full 5 days each week.

Why is the district trying to fix what is not broken?? The initial plan to have a traditional opening to school was a great plan, why did we revisit the decision? The science and recommendations from doctors all support opening school in a traditional manner. There are so many other dangers and pitfalls to keeping children home...let’s not make the cure worse than the disease. Send our kids back to 5 days of school!!

I can’t do another year of online school, we need to regularize being around people. We can’t live in fear anymore please!

How does this protect teachers? What are working parents, and teachers with school-aged kids supposed to do?

Our kids need to be in school. Nurses go to work, grocery store clerks go to work, everyone goes to work but now the teachers are scared... wear your mask and clean your classrooms. I have seen so many teachers out what is the difference. Do the right thing and go back to the normal schedule and don’t blind side everyone with a impulse decision made one month before school. Also, those not wanting to go can do the online virtual classroom that was offered. Make both happy.
