I am the president and founder of cedar valley jeep.owners. We have over 80 members, and we travel to other states to go off roading. My family just got back from Wisconsin where we spent money that should have been spent in iowa.

We need a few of these parks here in Iowa to keep young kids from tearing up public and private proberty a park will give them a place to take their rigs to play rather than a level b road or public park or even someone's corn field

I grew up in Cedar Rapids Iowa and used to look forward to weekend outings with dad at 600 acres. I recently heard it was shut down? Boaters have lakes and rivers, hunters the woods. What and where do off road enthusiast get?

I love in Cedar Rapids Iowa and when I was younger we used to have an area to use between Ely and Solon Iowa but Motorcycle and Quad riders convinced the county board to prohibit full size vehicles so now we have no offroad park to go to within a 2.5+ hour drive.

It would not be hard for Iowa to create a full-size vehicle offroad park. Simply open the existing OHV parks to trucks and Jeeps. I have made multiple out-of-state trips to off-road when I could be spending money in Iowa and supporting the economy.

There are LOTS of wheeling rigs in Iowa and sadly, most never see anything more serious than "Level B" roads, and that's because there are no public off-road parks! Iowa has so much to offer the outdoor enthusiast; the absence of an OHV park is a black eye to the state's outdoor reputation.
