I left Full Sail because it's a degree mill. FS has no teaching to speak of unless you count Lynda and YouTube as your instructors. They are only interested in your student loan money and that's it. It's a rip off, transfer before it's too late my friends.

I am in game design and every month it seems that the professor respond less and less. Grading on assignments takes a really long time, for one class I did not even get to see grades on some of the assignments before the class disappeared; I wonder if those assignments were graded at all. The classes expect you to complete 2-3 assignments per week and professors cant even grade one assignment in two weeks. When grading does come along there will be no feedback. I could get 100 on one assignment and 50 on another and not know what I did right or wrong making me feel doomed to make the same mistakes. I really fear that I'm wasting a lot of money (money that could buy a car or pay for rent for a year) and a lot of time too. I hope a faculty member at Full
Sail sees this so they can at least address our concerns.
Bachelor of Science in Music Business. Count me in. I believe in a full educational experience if anyone is paying for it.

This problem seems to be getting worse the further I am getting in the program. Each seeming to be more and more disorganized and unified.

I can and am learning more from self study than I am from these classes. No support for potential indie-devs, entirely focused on giving resources for those perusing a career for AAA companies.

I am sad that I'm paying so much for a school to be taught something and I'm having to turn to Google instead. So what am I paying for exactly?

Game Design. All of my complaints have been voiced already so I am not going to waste my time in writing everything out. Suffice it to say that everything that has been said already is representative of my thoughts.

Unfortunately, my experiences with the majority of the faculty at Full Sail has been rather poor. Assignments are not well explained, and constructive feedback is rarely, if ever given. Assignments are not graded in a timely fashion. I should never have to wait until the end of the following week to hear about how I did on an assignment from the previous week. This is unacceptable. Especially, if one assignment relies on how you did on the previous assignment (this has been the case often). I have experienced several issues with assignments/requirements being ill explained, and professors failing to respond to any of my questions. Don’t say that you can be contacted by (x, y, and z means) and fail to attend to any of these. I even had one extreme circumstance where the issue took several weeks and many emails and phone calls to come to what was a few steps short of a resolution. By the end of this process, I was so angry and frustrated that I could barely even speak on the matter. Additionally, like many of my other fellow students have mentioned, there is a general level of unprofessionalism amongst the faculty when communicating with students. Professors often come across as rude and unconcerned when addressing various matters. Lastly, relying on the GoToTraining sessions as the sole means of delivering the content of the course is also unacceptable. These sessions are rarely productive, and often end up becoming a session of Q&A where only a few questions pertaining to specific students are addressed. There is also a large amount of unprofessionalism in this setting as well.

When teachers don't reply for a week my question is why? They are getting paid to teach this class. Especially with how much this class is costing us as students. I understand not answering for a day or two but a whole week or two that is just crazy.

I agree with Vijay. Some teachers are very helpful and great instructors, but there are some who I don't understand where they get their assignment ideas from. In my current course, the assignment instructions have all been very un-clear, along with due dates being random all the time. Most previous courses have had organized due dates (like, something due Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday, or something like that) This course has been all over the place.

Paying for college is a contract, and we the students are not receiving our end of the bargain. We should be refunded all tuition and compensated for the time we've wasted and the stress we've undergone.
