My mother was from Hyden and Wendover was just up the road from where my grandparents lived. I visited the FNS location many times as a young girl and have always been fascinated with the stories about the FNS. They need to stay where they started and where they served the people. Locating them to an area where people don’t know their history makes no sense! Please if they need relocated, do it somewhere in Leslie County!

I was born and raised in Hyden. Myself and all my siblings were delivered at home by the midwives that worked with Mary
Breckinridge. My oldest daughter was born at MBH hospital. Mary Breckinridge wanted to help this area to have healthy babies and she succeeded in building a midwife program here in Leslie county. She lived here in Leslie the county that she lived. And it would be a great disappointment to her to see everything that she worked so hard for leave the place that she lived and loved. Shame on you FNS Corporations!!!!!!

What Mrs Breckinridge started in Leslie County should stay there! She wouldn’t want them moved. Keep our FNS buildings and other artifacts where they are now.

I was born in 1969 there . I’m one of the triplets that were born there. 3rd set to be born in Leslie county. This is a part of Leslie County, don’t take it away.
