Although I do not believe that the books and the story should be interfered with, I also did fall in love with the character of Thorin (and Fili and Kili alike) and I can tell you, I cried my heart out when I watched the BOTFA in the cinema. I cried so much so that I was left emotionally drained for the rest of the evening. Because of the wait for each movie, you become so attached to the characters that when they died it was as though you lost someone who you actually knew. For these reasons only am I signing this petition. Thank you :)

At least allow Thorin to see Erebor restored to its full glory. It is the least he deserves,

I would love to see him alive, but if he died on the original book, Peter likes to keep as close to the books at possible. If he wrought the character in, who knows. Since shooting is done, it takes tremendous work to re-shoot the seen. Hopefully he will keep him
