I don't get down to the lower 48 often, but when I do .........I'd like to see an open airport.

I will not allow another Meigs Field. I will not allow another Santa Monica Airport. This is absurd. Open this airport up now!

I fly GA between the Front Range and Grand Junction multiple times per year. Your airport is usually one of my alternates if I run into weather along the way. Please reopen it. Thank You, Terry Riedel

Shutting down an airport is senseless... GA airports are a lifeline to the outside world, and are likely one of the least hazardous places from an infection standpoint. You are hurting your community, and making the country weaker. Please reopen your airport. GA airports are by definition: essential services!

There was never even the slightest attempt to offer a credible rationale for closing this airport. This was 100% co-opting the COVID crisis to advance a political agenda. The people of Glenwood Springs should find it despicable that our government abused its power at this time to create unnecessary tension and division when we most need unity. GA pilots from all over the country, as well, should find this alarming.

Really? If Covid was really the concern, why not close down all exits from I-70, or prohibit incoming travel on SH 82? If everyone was aware of the ongoing Airport Property Scenario Planning Project it would make this action more transparent...the usual suspects are politically driven. Follow the dollars. If it were truly Covid, airport tenants would be able to maintain proficiency with no increase in risk to the city residents.

Closing airports not only prevents pilots and aircraft based there from maintaining their proficiency and currency, but also affects the airport businesses and off-airport businesses utilizing it. It is crucial keep airports open as they also provide a network for emergency medical flights.

Airports Save Lives! Municipal Airports are critical to our safety and security and ability to move critical supplies and people. They also contribute significantly to local economies. Thank you, Randy

There is no viable health reason for the airport to be closed. If the pilots of separate aircraft aren't socially distancing then they have a bigger problem than coronavirus!

Pilot proficiency is extremely important, especially in the demanding location of Glenwood Springs. Also, there are local businesses in GS that depend on income from its use.

There was never any attempt at providing an even slightly convincing rationale for closing this airport. It was 100% using cover of this crisis to advance an agenda. I think all citizens of Glenwood Springs should find this despicable and all GA pilots everywhere in the country should take a strong interest in this situation. Your airport could be next.

Please open the GWS airport. Being the only airport closed in the state shows perhaps an overabundance of caution that can be lifted at this point.
