This airport is a special place . I have flown in there with my family and spent a week in town . We ate great food at the brewery, soaked in the Springs and rented a car to go explore the area. Would be a shame to see this airport closed any longer. This gem needs to remain open to Serve the community of Glenwood Springs .

Signed! Flying into there is a lot closer and convenient to where I spend my money than Rifle. This person who closed the airport needs to be fired, he works for us, we don’t bow down to him.

Airports do more than provide a place for pilots to land. Even the smallest of airport can bring economic benefits to a town as there may be mechanics, flight instructors, etc. working there; incoming pilots will patriate local restaurants and cafes, taxi cabs, Uber/Lyft drivers, etc. Plus they can be instrumental for access in times of emergency for medical flights, supplies, etc. for disaster response.

I remember traveling here as a child many times with my family. I had planned to make this a stop this summer on our adventure west. Keep this airport open!

I've been looking forward to organizing a family trip to GWS with 4-5 aircraft. Aviation is an activity that is easy to observe social distancing with, and there's no reason I can see to close the airport, even temporarily, for COVID-19.

Tying an airport closure to the Covid19 is a pretty big stretch. You can close down dual instruction to make people safer, but flying is often solitary and is safe.

Great airport!! Would be a big loss for GWS. They certainly do not need anymore development! Good Grief!!
