I do not feel this closure has any value in the Covid-19 crisis. This airport which I have flown into as a visitor, should be reopened.

No need to close a GA, non-towered airport. I can't imagine employees interact with pilots where social distancing measures cannot be employed and still allow for this airport to remain open. If anything, it keeps people employed.

It would be a travesty if the families of those closing Glenwood Springs had a family emergency that required rapid aerial response. Please consider your own kin plus friends and strangers too when not keeping this airport open.

Shutting down this airport is the most idiotic action that Glenwood Springs could have ever done. It just shows that the governing powers of Glenwood are not educated individuals. Viruses are spread by being indoors, they are killed in direct sunlight and more importantly this corona virus has fewer deaths than our normal flu virus. So why the stink? Pilots come and go and many never leave their aircraft unless to stretch their legs or refuel. Educate yourselves before reacting to social media claims and trumped up numbers provided by or government, who happens to be dictating that Doctors coin every death as COVID. Pilots are not stupid individuals...I would love to know that our officials in Glenwood Springs are not stupid either... So, show us your real I.Q. Reopen the airport, it's remote location is not a threat to the spread of this virus to the city of Glenwood. Or, anywhere else for that matter. MM

The airport should not be closed due to the pandemic.
I'm a pilot and practicing emergency physician; there is no good argument for closing the airport. I fly out of KAEJ and have been to KGWS several times.

Glenwood Springs Airport should never have been closed for this. This makes as much sense as shutting down local streets and highways. Re-open the airport.

I have been to KGWS several times and consider it a crucial and affordable airport for that region. I use it to access the area mainly for tourism, like the hot springs and Sunlight. Please do reopen this airport soon so we can continue to visit the wonderful area!

Glenwood Springs is an important and useful reliever airport for Aspen and the area. There are few suitable landing sites due to topography. The developers can build housing anywhere. Let them pay FMV for the land instead of stealing our transportation infrastructure on the cheap in return for building a handful of below market apartments. Shame on politicians who would sell the airport out.

The airport is an asset to Glenwood Springs and the surrounding area. The airport provides a way to rapidly get people and supplies into and out of Glenwood Springs in emergencies.
The airport also provides income for both people and businesses on the airport.
The airport also provides tax revenue to the City and the County.
