I found this paper was harshly marked for a second year paper. There was no feedback to understand why I received the grade I did. Also I believed the 10% late penalty would be applied to the grade you received, not out of the 30. This could impact ones grade by almost 5%.

I have never complained about a mark before but I feel this was an incredibly negatively marked paper. Lost marks for things that were clearly in my paper. Very disappointed with the grading of this one.

There were a number of sections on the rubric that weren't clarified. The feedback was a little vague and I was docked marks in areas with no explanation.

The topic of my paper was questioned even though it was clearly outlined as an option in the assignment guidelines. Also confused about the rubric as areas were not clearly marked as being required in the paper (i.e. methodology of studies). I was docked many marks for this reason. Thanks, Jill!

inadequate feedback, failure to respond to questions relating to paper, won't discuss paper till after drop date, being a fifth year student and having written multiple papers before this i've never seen a situation like this being completely ignored

Marks were taken off a bit arbitrarily. They were deducted for citations, yet I used the outline for APA provided by the school's library website. Moreover, my topic was criticized for being too medical, yet I used a given topic pertaining to the health of a group.

The marking was ridiculous. Never have I ever seen such an unjust marking scheme or marks being deducted for no reason or with no explanation.

My mark wasn’t horrible, per se, but the marks that were deducted on my paper had no basis considering the requirements were fulfilled as much as possible considering the outlines given and everything else that needed to be included in the paper. The content was clearly there and yet marks were deducted for seemingly no reason. Furthermore, I find that she answers questions expressed to her very poorly (if at all), in an extremely vague, non-helpful, and rude way that most often than not doesn’t even address the issue posed in a justifiable manner.

The only feedback I received on my assignment was regarding my margins, I received no other feedback outlining my errors and misunderstanding of the guidelines of the paper. I will definitely be meeting with my TA to discuss where I lost marks. Thank you to Jill and everyone else assisting her in representing those of us who feel we were unfairly marked on this assignment!

In addition to the extremely low mark I recieved in work that I worked extremely hard on, one of the notable mark deductions towards my paper was regarding the fact that I used 7 peer reviewed articles as opposed to the 6 required. There was nothing in the rubric regarding that except the fact that you are required to have at least 6, yet I was deducted marks for using one more. This is one of the many unreasonable mark deductions I noticed in the grading of my paper.

This is the worst mark I have ever received, and I feel as though I put in a lot of time and effort to write a unique paper that covered the guidelines. It was unfairly marked and it seems clear that many other students agree. Also, this is our first mark in this class and is after the drop date.
