FRHD 2100 Paper

I worked very hard on this paper. I even handed it in later knowing the late mark penalty just to have more time to add more relevant content.

I feel that my mark wasn't justified properly as I thought I did quite well on it. Also the marking system is a little off.

"Seriously?" was the second comment, after "This is not one of the topic(s*) on the list as far as I recall. It was removed several years back." Apparently I had marks deducted for choose an old topic from the list on the course site.

I thought the marking was really unfair. I was docked marks too without a proper explanation.

My paper was peer reviewed by around 8 people and I believe it was a A paper however getting a 54% is not what I have expected. The TA wrote comemnts such as "good" , "sounds good" and provided very little or no feedback for where I went wrong. The rubric was marked unfairly despite me putting in all the information I could possibly fit in the 5 page requirement. Please look into this. We all look forward to a regrade.

I shouldn't have to submit a paragraph to explain why I believe my paper was graded unfairly. I am spending thousands of dollars each year to attend this university. If I feel my paper was marked unfairly, you should be willing to meet with me no questions asked. The marks deducted from my paper were absurd and I'm extremely unhappy about it.

I was a quite upset about my mark...considering I thought that I had done a decent job. :(

I completely agree with everyone! I put so much effort into this paper and felt that I met the expectations, or at least more than what my mark reflected, and was so surprised at how low my mark was. I even had other students and a teaching assistant edit my paper to ensure that my mark would not nearly be as low as it was.

Feel as though I was marked extremely harsh and unfair. Spent over 40 hours on my paper only to receive a failing grade.

I graduated with a Bachelor (with distinction) and a Master in English Lit., but my research paper in FRHD 2100 with C. Clarke was 52%.

The expectations for this paper were beyond what should be expected of second-year undergraduate students. Not only it was very difficult to find recent studies that discussed the specific topics that the professor presented, but no guidance was given to us on how to effectively analyze and compare these studies. This course does not teach us on how to critically analyze and review studies, and for this reason, I believe it to be inappropriate to heavily mark students on their ability to do so. Personally, I needed to submit my paper one week later so that I could finish writing it, although I spent weeks beforehand to research on my topic.

I followed the guidelines on what to write, followed topic, sources, etc. and failed the paper. I've never received a mark like that before

Hi guys, I just wanted to show you this as a warning kind of, a few comments says that on the exam she will test us on pretty much the whole textbook and will be very specific with it. there are some areas where I am marked unfairly

I did not get any reason why i got such a bad mark? The paper was extremely unfair in general for a second year paper.

I feel this paper was very harshly marked considering it is a second year course, as well as there were little to no comments as to why my mark was as low as it is!

If more than half the class failed, maybe we should get a second chance.
