Frenchtown Preservation - No (More) Student Housing

This doesn't help revitalize Frenchtown. This will only makes gentrification easier and further destroys an important part of Tallahassee history.

The city of Tallahassee appears determined to attempt to swallow every residential neighborhood it can steamroll over. That it is attempting to do that to one of the few remaining African-American neighborhoods in downtown Tallahassee is noted and reprehensible.

Government of the people by the people! You represent the people of Tallahassee. It has been too much emphasis on bringing in jobs and housing for people coming in to Tallahassee. It is time to balance that with jobs and housing for the local Tallahassee citizens. Save French town! Listen to the citizens in the community.

The historical aspect of Frenchtown needs to be honored. Respect the residents of this neighborhood. Shame on you City of Tallahassee. Start caring about neighborhoods and not brown-nosing the developers.

A terrible idea, just terrible.

I live in Frenchtown and have for 36 years. Student housing does not belong here. High quality assisted living would be appreciated. Tiny houses would be appreciated.

Stop gentrification.

I say NO to GENTRIFYING Frenchtown so FSU can have more student housing. Build it somewhere else! Better yet, help better Frenchtown and the people that live there instead of eventually pricing them out of their homes.

Gentrification is a monster that needs to be snuffed out as soon as possible.

I'm 25yrs old and I was born & raised in the community of French Town and I can honestly say that it is still one of few communities in Tallahassee Florida that still carry the neighborhood feeling/love. Everybody know everybody and everybody helps everybody within the community. Not only will ANOTHER student apartment complex ruin the social environment...it will also continue to push the local citizens further out of Tallahassee and before long there will be no more communities to raise your kids in.

This shouldn't happen..

Please don't tarnish my Grandmothers legacy.

Please make economical family housing so those of us who grew up there can return and become home owners and save our community

This don't make any sense the city of Tallahassee always lying to us about something you trying to but apartments n the Frenchtown so the crime can go back up it's already bad n Frenchtown

I don't think that a historic neighborhood needs overpriced student housing

City of Tallahassee,You have lied again to the people of Frenchtown...They were told that the land would be use for up coming businesses...Student appointment won't help Frenchtown more like hurt it.The crime rate is already high what you think going to happen when these KIDS move in round the ELDERLY......

Tallahassee's development has been reckless environmentally and now, it appears, socially. We do not need student development in Frenchtown. What we need is Frenchtown development in Frenchtown. Mayor Gillum and Commissioners, choose the higher ground!

This is a very important historic district! It needs to be preserved!
