To do this to an animal is totally wrong. I jus don't know how any person could take an animal baby or senior and lock them up for show and tell like an elementary child takes things to show their friends at school. These are not things they are living breathing wild animals. They need to be outside in the wild alive and safe from poachers and people who want to cage them up for years of loneliness. I jus don't understand why people think it's ok to treat them like this. Please stop this abuse. Animals that are chained ,caged ,killed for their meat fur ect please stop them. They are not trophies they are wild animals. Let them be wild feel the grass and dirt under their feet. Let them have companionship they have been denied. Take a moment a think would you be ok w/it if it was your family chained and caged like that? I don't think so. please stop theses kinds of abuse. Thank you for your time. kandi metcalf

I grew up with Lucy in Edmonton and am very ashamed of my hometown that she is still kept there. Please allow an outside medical examination to be done and allow her to go to a sanctuary with a warmer climate and other elephants. Female elephants are EXTREMELY social and it is tragic that she is being kept in the the smallest ramshackle zoo I've ever seen in my life with little room to roam, which is mostly concrete and hard on her feet. Funds can be raised to pay for everything. It can be done. Let her go. Please.

Lucy is a female elpephant who is suffering from various ailments, a cold climate, and a lack of space appropriate to her needs. She deserves to be set free in a sanctuary and the town and zoo in Edmonton should help her.

I cannot believe that a kind human being would prevent one little elephant from retiring to a climate to which she is accustomed. It is minus 20 in Edmonton today obviously not a temperate climate as the zoo vet believes. If you have a heart give a chance to be free.

After seeing how the Alaska Elephant-Maggie is doing and now the 3 Toronto girls are doing. There is really no reason why Lucy cannot join them. I heard that she wants to be with Humans and Not elephants. Paws have experts to monitor Lucy. If Lucy really wants to be by herself. Please picture her in a OPEN field where she can roam. NOT to be walked with Handlers. Edmonton really needs to give up Lucy. Pandas and Polar Bears can be your prime attractions.. Not the Asian elephant
