I have known Kerry for more than twenty years. Despite his conviction his actual guilt is questionable; not even the mother and children of the alleged victim believes he is guilty. His record while incarcerated has been exemplary and his continued incarceration serves no purpose.

I have known Kerry Myers for several years and believe his pardon and release are thoroughly warranted. I have huge respect for him: for his integrity; for the service and example he has given during his time Angola and the valuable contribution he will give to wider society.

I have met Mr. Myers, spoken with him at length, and know many who are lucky enough to call him a close friend. I am confident in his innocence, and even more confident that he will be a valuable member of society when released.

Governor Jindal - please sign the recommendation of commutation for Kerry Myers as unanimously voted upon by the Louisiana Board of Pardons. He has also been cited to have the lowest risk assessment score for re-entry that a deputy warden has ever seen. Kerry has served 23 years for a crime that many believe he did not commit and to which pleads innocent.
