I've visited with Kerry at the rodeo. He is a solid man and should be freed soon.

I will continue to pray for Kerry.
I wasn't aware of the commutation recommendation; now that I am I will write to the governor and add my voice to those seeking his release.

Rectify this egregious miscarriage of justice and FREE KERRY MYERS. It's time for the Governor to end Myers' nightmare and sign the recommendation of commutation.

I have known Mr. Myers for over 10 years and can attest to his sincere and humble character. He and I share a common interest in working together for families of victims. Kerry has proven his true worth as a man of God while serving out his time at Angola. With all the good he has done inside the walls of LSP, it is my belief he can better serve the justice system by his release into the free world. I pray that you will allow him to join the ranks of other successful ex-offenders who have used their 2nd chance at freedom to deter the onslaught of a fallen society by being a vivid witness of their past mistakes. I have had lengthy conversations with Mr. Myers regarding his intentions once he is given this chance, and it is my gift of discernment, which confers with my spirit that Mr. Myers' intentions are good and noble to serve his fellow man. I have worked with ex-offenders and their families through my faith-based organization, La Coalition for Reform and intend to fully be there as a resource for any and all needs Mr. Myers may have. It is my belief that Mr. Myers has a bold and sincere relationship with Jesus Christ and readily testifies to that fact, which makes him the very best candidate for re-entry back into society. I pray that God will give you the wisdom to make the right decision while considering the future of this God-fearing man. Blessings to you and your administration. <><

If the most infamous parole board in America - your Parole Board Governor Jindel - says it is time to release Mr. Myer - I would trust them explicitly. Further incarceration has no cost benefit to anyone. Mr. Myers can be a productive member of society and not a further burden on your tax-paying constituency.

Governor Jindal.. Why haven't you signed Kerry Myers recommendation of commutation yet? It's a disgrace and a grave injustice for both Kerry Myers and the State of Louisiana..

I have enjoyed Mr. Myers contribution to the Angolite for six or seven years. If the commutation was given in September, 2013 why has it not been granted by the Governor? I would hope he would follow Pope Francis I example--and that of Christ.

Please Governor Jindal, do the right thing and let this man go free. The real crime here is his continued incarceration!
