It would reduce air pollution from the queuing cars at the crossings.

Chichester suffers two major traffic headaches: the A27 and the railway crossings. The Southern Gateway + Freeflow proposal faces up to one of these challenges; let's not waste the opportunity!

Not to include a bridge to replace the 2 level crossings would be a wasted opportunity to bring the Southern Gateway into the 21st Century, and eliminate the perpetual queues at this notorious bottleneck.

Clearly any new road solution should allow for the closure of the railway crossings.

I believe the proposal provides a long term solution for Chichester and a better place for our inhabitants greatly reducing the omissions created by stationary vehicles

Lets have some imagination. there are enough problems with A27 traffic -so more bridges can only help.

The railway crossing's must go, a bridge or tunnel over/under the railway is the only way forward. Why is the Council so short sighted on this?

CDC's Southern Gateway proposals do not address the principal problem which is the level crossings & fail thereby

In the light of the governments proposed initiatives to reduce air pollution this alternative vision must be taken seriously.

I support the plan for road bridges over the railway line. This should be adopted by CDC.

This plan addresses the intolerable congestion/pollution/stress levels and more, caused by the level crossings. For that alone it deserves immense consideration

At last, a proposal worth considering. We have wasted too much of our lives waiting at these railway gates.
Great idea for the development of Chichester
