This is happening to my partner, he has been in Australia for 54 years, how can the government get away with this? It’s against human rights and I’m ashamed to call myself Australian if this is how they treat people that grew up in this country, it needs to stop.

I am also an absorbed person and have been here since 1974, but detained on Christmas island away from my family, my friends, and my lawyers who are fighting to get me out
