I was only incarcerated for a period of 5 and a half months, for 3 minor driving charges... my most serious charge was in 2008... After serving my imprisonment period, I was detained for a further 8 months before getting my request for revocation denied... I have 1 child (boy) who is 8 years old and my new partner has 7 children... Who are all financially dependent on me... My father is buried here in Australia, my mother and 16 siblings all live in Australia along with all my aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and even School friends from New Zealand... now I have to wait a period of upto 2 to 3 months before I finally get deported back to New Zealand... That is a total of 3 major punishments for minor traffic charges... This is absolutely revolting. ..

Its bull when people who have been here since a very young age and spent most their life growing up in Australia and go by our rules. Yet we let people who are refugees etc live here no matter what PLUS give them more money then Austalians! What has this country come to?! Hope they are allowed to come back!

i have been in detention since 06/02/2015,i have been away from my family ever since the government took me away as a kid, when i first came to AUSTRALIA,it was their responsibilty to apply for my citizenship,as they were my legal gaurdians as a miner,D,H,S,but they never did, while my family became citizens.i never knewthat i was not a citizen until i went to prison,as i have never applyed for a passport.
