For reading her work she was arrested on 'anti-state' charges and accused of inciting hatred. She also claims she was beaten and tortured in custody.
This is a call to everyone (especially the writers out there) to PLEASE sign the petition and lend support to the upcoming appeal against her conviction. It is important that we, as writers, make some gesture, however small, to stand up for our craft and for each other. So please sign this, spread it, tweet it, email it... for every writer who was ever jailed, persecuted, tortured, fined, ostracised, murdered for writing down what was in their hearts,minds and souls <3

I read about what happened and i am sick to my stomach. hope she gets out soon and justice is served.

This needs way more attention. How can they crush a persons spirit just for reciting a poem?
its absolutely insane that someone can get locked up just for writing poetry. free her now.
