I can sit here and reiterate all the good things said about Wendy, as they are ALL true, but the real issue at hand is the amount of time that has been given to Wendy....has anyone deciding her case actually sit and thought about each day that has passed of her sentence? Have you thought about Wendy each holiday (Christmas, Thanksgivings, son or daughter birthday etc.) and really thought about it. Now, every one of us humans has made mistakes. Some of us have made bigger mistakes and got caught. So to the person deciding her case, have you ever made a mistake? Have you ever had an addiction? Or loved someone with an addiction? Addiction doesn’t have to be drugs it can be anything, it can be money. Have you ever done something you absolutely know is wrong but your addiction just over powers you to the point where you justify every wrong action? I believe that every one of us have the ability to recover from such. I personally am recovering from a drug addiction that took 20 years of my life and I committed prescription fraud countless times. I got out of jail from 7 charges and 2 weeks later violated my probation with again another charge. I was give a chance to recover and I did just that. Isn’t Wendy’s life just as valuable? Isn’t her family just as deserved? Can you sit for a minute and imagine how you would feel is something (anything) that you see as a flaw in your life, getting you 22 and 1/2 years in prison...... imagine the daily anguish of knowing you will not get out until your 60. I want the men and women who have any authority in Wendy’s case to put yourself in her shoes just a week and I guarantee you will see it differently. The words I live by today are “Every action has a reaction, good or bad”. I hope anyone reading this can do what you can to help Wendy. It’s one thing to sit in your comfy home and think “she deserves it, or that would ever happen to me or my kids”. Think again God has a way of doing things in our lives that are unexplainable

Whats crazy is I have been out almost one year, Wendy got sick off the vaccine after she was already quarentined 2 months and still sick, I should know we contracted it the same day. Why is she still fighting for her life in CVCU. It is one of the worst places to take someone especially someone with her sentence and according to her sentence and time left she was NEVER supposed to be sent there. PLEASE HELP ME and CALL ALL THE GROUPS YOU FIND ON THE INTERNET that may possibly help her, there are at least 15 programs I ran across just today that are for early release and clemency, please HELP ME FLOOD THESE places with cries of help and the injustice she is still going thru. she deserves so much more and as a productive citizen that is now a member of society I keep in contact with wendy way LESS then I should she is still a SOLDIER I can only do it with your help! I know we are all working and busy with life byt one lunch hour a week is all I ask. THANK YOU

Wendy is a extremely positive role model. She always has a positive attitude with a smile. She was a role model to us other offenders. She definitely did not deserve this amount of time for making a mistake, I truly feel she has learned from this mistake and feel she deserves to be back with society.

I have known Wendy since he became incarcerated. Wendy Sprouse is a good person stayed out of trouble that's what you supposed to do walk straight line I feel that she's been incarcerated long enough. There's people out here in the world killing each other and get in 2 years he simply embezzled a little cash and it paid it back. I feel that releasing her would be the right thing to do she is definitely not a threat to society if you ever want to meet her you would know right from the start. It is in my favor to release Wendy Sprouse from prison she's been there long long long enough. Thank you for all of our considerations

She recently was found positive of covid 19 and has since recovered from her ordeal.
The birth of a grandchild, and soon she will miss out on her daughters marriage. I think she has suffered enough for a non violent crime. Do we value money more than a person's life? People commit murder and get less time than this woman.

I was an inmate when I met Windy. We have a connection that is spiritual, something you find in only a select few people that you meet in a life time. I trusted Windy as soon as I met her and I have come to a place in my life when I felt I would never trust again. Windy is an angel....my angel....she deserves to share that quality with the people outside the prison as she has inside.

I did 5 years with her, she so positive and a woman of god, she deserves to be with her family. I’m home and I embezzled 4x what she did, it’s horrible and she really is a model citizen and she really deserves to be free now. We all make mistakes but her time is incredibly excessive and as someone that’s been there for the same reason I can tell you we have learned from our mistakes and this punishment is just cruel. Please free her.

Wendy's sentence was excessive and unjust. Offenders convicted of violent crimes have received significantly less time in prison. Her inability to get relief through the appellate process is an indictment of our criminal justice system in Virginia. Fundamental fairness would seem to require that she be released as she has served more than was fair. Her sentencing guidelines suggested about 2 years. A sentence of 23 years is just not equitable. Please consider her immediate release.

There is no doubt that Wendy committed a crime, but she has paid her debt to society both literally and figuratively. Everyone that has ever met Wendy will tell you that she is a kind soul, humble, and willing to help anyone. Please consider her situation, and allow her to go home to her loved ones. She has lost so much more than than time due to her crime, and if one person can make a difference in society, it is Wendy Sprousw.
