This would be an enormous contribution to cleaner waters. I fish locally and have been pleasantly surprised by the rebound of bunker and striped bass in the area. I can tell you the effects of CSO are real, the number of disposable household items in the water after even a light rain is crazy. Returning millions of gallons of fresh water to the Harlem River would be an amazing benefit for wildlife! Creating a new green space in Kingsbridge would be so positive for everyone. Thank you for all the amazing work on this project.

Daylighting Tibbett's Brook would not only help immensely with the mounting problems of stormwater, etc, but it would be a natural part of restoring the original marsh that extended along Tibbett's Brook between Inwood and Van Cortlandt Park. This would be excellent for recreation, as well as essential for the well-being of all people and wildlife in the face of the climate crisis.

If CSX will not accept a fair offer, our US Senators should insert a provision in the next federal appropriations act seizing the land from them and handing it to NYC.

Judging by the significant bike & pedestrian traffic already on the newly-paved Putnam trail in Van Cortlandt Park, I imagine a safe traffic-free extension south to W230th would serve good use as well.

Communities carved up highways, streams turned into little more than sewage pipes... This is a chance to undo some of the damage done and reclaim the natural beauty of our borough.
