I think that backcountry.com to get this to go away should give up it's trademark to the word Backcountry and give it back to the public and promise never to use it again.

And by make amends, we mean pay back all past legal fees you caused other backcountry companies to incur, release all NDAs, and allow all companies who want to go back to their original names to do so. And of course, drop all lawsuits.

This letter is weak on restitution. This matter is not resolved for the sheer majority of us until backcountry.com goes back and compensates and makes whole every single person and organzation they have harmed. In fact, they need to go beyond. 'If they took 20, they should restore 20 and add 5'.

You still have not done the right thing. Restitution to those who you sued, for legal fees and problems created to their business. Bullies excuse actions. Ethical people and companies make restitution.

So are you going after “nearcountry”? - a word to describe trails of all sorts near urban and built up areas? You do know they exist too, right? While your at it- “over yonder” is a good one too...
