Sami El-Koriny is a Canadian Citizen who is unlawfully being detained in an Egyptian prison. He has spent a year an a half at the notorious Tora Prison in Egypt for 25 civil charges that were laid against him by his Emirati business partner. He is a loving and caring father that just wants to return to his family here in Canada.
My father was released by Egyptian courts on Sunday, after being detained since December 2013. He was found innocent from all 25 bogus charges. On Monday May 4th 2015 he was released from prison, but he was then detained two days later on May 6th 2015 for no clear allegations. He is currently being held illegally by the orders of Egypt's attorney general's office.
The bottom line is that the Attorney General of Egypt is under pressure from the UAE ambassador, who is supporting the attempt to blackmail my father out of 90 million pounds for the benefit of my father's old Emirati business partner.
My father feels helpless towards this injustice so he is starting a hunger strike to protest his illegal and unfair treatment. We need to expose the corrupt Egyptian legal system,and the corruption of the UAE ambassador, in order to bring this situation to an end.

I Know Samy for years. He is a wonderful man. The Canadian Government has an obligation to help him and stand in front of the corrupt Egyptian regime
what has been going on till now has been an extreme injustice and I am shocked that canada has not interfered thus far to help a Canadian citizen that is living ashore
This is horrible and unfair. Sami Elkoriny is a loving and kind man who deserves to be freed. I support him and his family 100% and believe that he deserves justice!
I was arrested and imprisoned in Egypt. The legal system is backward and beholden to politicians. Sami must be released now!
I known sami personally. He is a great man and a gental soul. He should be free and be with his family.

Ottawa should interfere in this case especially if he was innocent from all civil charges. Ottawa a strong message with the Canadian Ambassador in Cairo as they cannot imprison an innocent Canadian citizen.
