This is a petition to FREE RODNEY SIEH, The Publisher of the FrontPage Africa newspaper, who was put behind bars at the Monrovia Central Prison on 21 August 2013. The sum of $US 375,000 was the bail bond that Sieh could not afford. He was not able to say when he could pay the balance of $US 1.5 million in damages in a case of libel from 2010. After hours of a standoff between police and sympathizers, he was finally taken to the Central Prison under a huge police escort. On 20 August, the Civil law Court ordered Sieh's arrest in a bid to enforce the ruling of the Supreme Court which was the payment of $1.5 million in damages to former Agriculture Minister Chris Toe. The paper claimed that its offices were searched in the days preceding the eventual incarceration of Sieh.
