Justice for Richard

All for the reduced sentencing. If it so happens to come through, I would hope you stay true to your word of wanting better.

I don't believe in the kind of sentences that were handed down to you. I believe you should get out on time served

Patty McDaniel you're a disgrace and you're misguided. Only someone who is related to Micah Boland or friend with him would defend him. Boland was convicted he was given 22 years which is harsh for Maine's standards. If Boland was innocent which he was not they wouldn't have given him 22 years. Richard is not going to reoffend because unlike sex offenders like Boland, he has learned not to do that. He is a great guy much more deserving of freedom than the so called non violent offenders you cite. Him and his fiancee have been together 4 years and a half. His fiancee is an upstanding person, she doesn't even have a parking ticket, and if she really wanted a green card she could've gotten one a long time ago before Richard. His fiancee wouldn't be waiting 4 years and a half for that and she deserves to be in this country more than you do. It shows your prejudice and racism. Go ahead and tell your comment to the 4 year old little girl Boland raped and her family. Shame on you for defending a rapist! You might forgive him but Gold doesn't. Matthew 18:6 says "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea".

This situation is deeply concerning! This man poses a significant threat to society, and the green card-seeking fiancée seems utterly irrational. He inflicted 87 stab wounds on Micah Bolen! Would you feel safe living next to someone like that? Micah Bolen was wrongfully convicted and lacked adequate legal representation. It's troubling how easily people support dangerous individuals like Richard Starhusky, who is likely to reoffend as soon as he is released. He crafted a knife while in prison, showcasing his premeditated intent to kill a fellow inmate just to manipulate his sentencing and get sent out of state—where the laws are less stringent. He has an extensive criminal history. Let's be honest: not everyone is capable of rehabilitation. Before you lend your support to this man and his misguided fiancée, consider redirecting your efforts to those wrongly incarcerated for non-violent offenses. They deserve our focus and advocacy, not dangerous individuals who have shown a clear disregard for life.

Molesting a child is a worse crime than any.

I know Richie personally, he's a good kid. He's made mistakes like the rest of us. He should not be defined by his mistakes. Richie is a walking example of why solitary confinement is a horrible idea. The prison needs to take responsibility for the situation they created. Richie deserves a second chance at life and not go out as a martyr.

Richard has paid enough, he has been punished and the Maine court should give him a second chance because the court doesn't know the change Richard has made in his heart. He wants to show everyone he can be a husband, father and make a difference in our community!

Maine court needs to resentence Richard! Richard has suffered enough. Instead of letting him rot, he needs to go home, contribute to the economy and be a family man. The system threw Richard away without giving him the opportunity to show he can be that man! Things need to change

Injustice towards Richard! He has been sentenced so harshly when the court needs to take into consideration he had mitigating circumstances that warrant a sentence with an out date. He's engaged, can work, can help his community and build a family

The court needs to resentence Richard Stahursky to where he has an out date because they didn't take into consideration his mental health, his trauma at the hands of his stepfather, his sister being abused and being in solitary confinement like that. His attorney died and they didn't even tell him. Maine offers no path to freedom when they should abolish life without parole sentences and allow Richard to be reviewed. He can work and contribute to society and be a husband

Richard and his fiancee deserve a second chance at life. Richard needs to be allowed to return to court and ask for a reduction of sentence with time served so he can go home. Richard wants to help the youth and be an example of redemption

He shouldn't do life for killing a sex offender. He did the world justice
