Beach access should be free for locals and visitors alike. I vacation here annually and sometimes like to visit quieter parts of the beach. Now you want me to pay more, when I'm already paying a lot to vacation here! Can you say gouging?

I pay property, sales, vehicle and hospitality taxes in my home town of Myrtle Beach. I should have the same rights as someone who lives "within city limits". This fee proposal is absolutely ridiculous. I moved here from out of state JUST to have access to the beach. To have to pay for it now on top of everything else is ridiculous. You should be able to come up with a better solution to the parking problem. I spend my money in this town; I should not be penalized for it!!

This is ridiculous. I pay homeowners, hospitality and sales taxes in my home town of Myrtle Beach. I should have the same rights as a resident within "city limits"! Come up with a better idea that does not punish locals but helps the local residents avoid problems parking their own cars.!!!!

I would not have bought a house in Carolina Forest if these new laws on parking on Ocean Blvd were in effect.

I think it is unfair to make we county residents pay for parking. Myrtle Beach is part of or county and I pay county taxes.

I getting very disappointed with with MB too many changes first the pavilion gone no smoking no canopies on the beach to many changes are running the average families away maybe we will find a new vacation area too MB isn't the only beach on the East Coast you know

Please reconsider. This will take local spending out of Myrtle Beach and to other areas north and south!

Own second home in Carolina Forest. The reason we purchased our home there was to be able to access the beach via 48th St. This appears to be totallywe unfair to homeowners in Horry County, especially if county taxes are used in anyway to maintain that section of the beach. Does this mean that in the event that the beach is washed away during a storm, that "only" the homeowners that can park in that area will be accessed a fee to restore the beach? Will this become just a private beach for only those homeowners and city officials who voted for these changes? You are treating this section of a public beach like it is a private country club for only the residents in the city limits of Myrtle Beach. If you are having issues with safety and violation of parking rules, could you just issue citations and tow violator cars. In essence, make those who are causing the problem pay. Contact government officials in the District of Columbia, they are collecting millions of dollars issuing $100 - $500 tickets.
