Mike has been a huge part of my life since childhood. He has been one of the most positive influences I know, no matter how hard it gets he always stays focused on the good and moving foward for betterment of himself and others. I consider him family and hope to see him able to spread his cheer and love to the outside world very soon!

This man has done his time.. come on over 31 years is time served. Humans make mistakes, no one is perfect, and I am damn sure the parole board ain't either!

Wow! Such a petition should have been written in Mike and Cindy's behalf a long time ago.
I want to tell a little about myself and how I met Mike before I tell you what I know about him.
I went to prison when I was 16 years old; but since they didn't have any girls where they sent me, I escaped 21 times in the first 7 years I was locked up. I finally realized I was going nowhere on my own, and decided to get out "their" way. I was released on parole after 16 years at age 32. While I was out, I started my own repair business, which did very well. I was out for a total of 20 months, and I made over a $100,000 in a year of that time. I also co-hosted a radio show about the Missouri D.O.C., until I got into an argument with the Director of Prisons one night over the air. Less than 2 weeks later, my parole was violated with fictitious charges brought against me. I won't go into the details, but I was betrayed by a woman who worked within the D.O.C., and had told me many times that she loved me. I went through 2 jury trials to prove my innocence. The first trial ended with a hung jury, because 2 members of the jury decided that, although they didn't believe I was guilty, they weren't sure it was safe to have me released after the amount of time I had spent incarcerated. That was the quote to the local newspaper. In the second trial, the jury came back with a "Not Guilty" verdict in about a half an hour. Was I re-released? Not for another 9+ years. There is a Missouri Statute that reads, "If no violation of the parole or conditional release is established and found, the parole or conditional release SHALL continue." But I found out that "their" rules do not apply to them. Not only did they not release me, they took some of the sentences I had received from the court that were to run concurrently with other sentences, and they rearranged them so that they would run consecutively in order to keep me incarcerated for a longer period of time. The Missouri COnstitution as well speaks loud in this case:
Excessive bail and fines--cruel and unusual punishment.
Section 21. That excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishment inflicted.
