This man has done very well over the yrs on prison. No need to keep him there any longer. He has paid his dues..

ive met him along time ago,,he is now married to my aunt,and he makes her happy,,he was so young and confused when he did what he did,,he has become a good man,,he has soo learned from his mistakes,and deserves to be free

Our country needs true equal Justice under the law. Otherwise we fall into a corrupt system of privilege and inequality. Our Justice system should also have oversight, subject to public review. In order for our Justice system to have any integrity, Justice has to be available for all, rich or poor. Ultimately our Justice system should be primarily for the benefit of Society as a WHOLE.
When in the due course of events, the continued imprisonment of a person convicted of a crime no longer has any reasonable benefit to society - and it is actually detrimental to society to keep them imprisoned - and there is no likelihood of repeated crime - then then special consideration should be given to free them from imprisonment. Please correct the injustice in our Justice system, and have an unbiased review done of Michael Smith's Parole decision.

I am Kristi's Hall's husband, so my story is her story. The only thing I would add would be that our Messiah shines brightly in this man, which brought tears to my eyes the first time I met him. He doesn't belong in the penal system. It's work was completed in Mike a long time ago. Mike needs to be at home with his wife, who loves him deeply and waits patiently upon her Creator to bring him home to her. Please help to make this possible and sign onto this petition which could and should make the difference in this situation. We need righteous judgement to prevail for Mike and others like him in similar situations.

Mike was my husband's fellow at Moberly, and he has Mike is one of the best men he knows. I have talked to him on the phone several times, and I have met his wife, Cindy; and they both deserve to be with one another. A lot of people do not realize that our criminal justice system is more a criminal system of justice. That's what my husband says all the time. Mike should be released.

Corruption and injustice in our "justice system" is, and has been obvious for many years. Justice should be meted out equally, not because you have special connections or enough money to buy it. I have met and spent time with Michael Smith and can vouch that he is a good man, and should not be considered to be a threat to society.

I believe he has shown that he is no longer the same person that he was and it was an accident and should have a second chance at his life. He should be considered for parole.

He deserves a second chance. He was always a loving kid whose life wasn't always great. But he is a wonderful person with a talent like no other. And a heart of gold.

Mike is the most loving, kind, spiritual, thoughtful and wonderful person I have ever met. He's like an Uncle to me and my prayers are to see him live happily and humbly with his loving and devoted wife. As well as being able to enjoy the little things in life that everyone else takes for granted.
He has done his time. Let him go.
