Prison is not what this grandmother needs. She is not a hardened criminal. Free her. She has done her time.

Although a "crime" was committed, this is NOT a violent woman, and a threat to NO ONE! Anyone can commit a crime when their children are victimized. No one was actually hurt, her sentence was extremely excessive!

In her position as a therapist she showed she had a Servants Heart and while her crime is horrible it shows that she was trying to protect her daughter and grandson. Even licensed therapists make bad decisions, even burnout, at risk for transference but confining a licensed social worker in prison will help no one (except for maybe the prison using her particular abilities without compensation).

This is a good person who is respected by a lot. She’s not a bad person. Release this woman so she don’t have to miss the rest of her grandchildren’s life

I myself was incarcerated with Schonnie, as I so affectionately called her, at Taconic CF in 2017. She was one of my closest confidants there. I know she is not a violent person nor does she have a evil bone in her body. She has suffered neglect tremendously while in the custody of the DCCS, I watched her suffer and it hurt me to my heart. I support all efforts for her early release. I myself suffer with an auto immune condition and the silent suffering we both experienced is something I will never forget. I send my prayers and am here to assist in any way. Please let her know I send her my love.

To be abused by a narcissistic professional oral surgeon, dentist, and have him buy out your first two attorney's would bring you to the edge too! I didn't cross that line, but I completely understand the desperation when no one believes you, when he can be so charming, so others and a devil in private. After two years in court, he was sentence with a slap on the wrist. My life is so different but I live in peace, my health because of all I went through is like Melissa's or worse. 6 spinal surgeries but don't get discouraged you have your daughter and your grandson! You are a survivor!!! Hang in there! These narcissistic men will not win. You made a mistake out of desperation, you paid your debt to society now hold your head up high because you have nothing to be ashamed of!

Melissa is a kind caring woman, unfortunately she made a bad choice out of fear. Her maternal instincts were to protect her daughter and grandchild from harm. I've known her for many years, she is not a threat to anyone. Her health has deteriorated and shes paid her dues.

It's time...why waste tax-payers money keeping a grandmother incarcerated. She is a threat to no-one.

Lisa was a personal training client as well a trusted friend and counselor. She hired me to help her manage her complex medical conditions (including her back surgery) with exercise. I worked out with her at her home many times and knew her whole family. She was a wise, warm woman whom I considered an important part of my life.
