Are you freaking kidding me? Growing up on a farm we got nipped by the family dog any time we were playing to rough. He was the peace keeper. People are to freaking nosey about the things they should mind their own business about. But if it was a physical dispute with humans they didn't see a thing. Nope they don't want to get involved. I'd be looking at what can be done against the animal control and the neighbors

HOW DISGUSTING!! MY DOG NIPS ME ALL THE TIME... IT DOESNT MEAN THAT SHE IS A THREAT OR AGGRESSIVE. THIS DOG HAS GONE THROUGH A LOT AND SHOULD NOT BE EUTHANISED. WE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOP BEING SISSY'S AND KILLING A DOG JUST BECAUSE IT NIPPED ONCE. AFTER ALL DOGS EXPRESS FROM THEIR MOUTHS..

I sure hope we can save Marley. This is absolutely ridiculous to have him locked up, pending death over such a minor situation. Do they realize how horrible the 15 year old will feel if this dog is put to death?! He will probably get backlash from students at school too. There are several reasons why this dog should be sent back home. Do the right thing Bay County!!!

Free Marley ! What family dog hasn't nipped a family member. Was the child hospitalized . NO ! It was an accident and the neighbor had no right to butt in their business. If it would of been serious the family would have dealt with it !!!!

This is overreach by law enforcement and imprudent prosecution. From personal experience, dogs communicate as they can. The third Old English Sheepdog that I had newly rescued once nipped at the face of a little girl who had applied a full-Nelson hug. I thought that the dog needed to be put down at the time. Over the next eight years, Gertrude nipped at my hands and arms when I was brushing her. Although one doesn't stop flinching at a nip, Gertrude never harmed me. It was evident that her message was 'please stop' and it was her means of non-verbal communication.

Marley is not a vicious, mean dog. He is a loving family member, who did what a loyal family member would do. He does not deserve to die for that. Please be reasonable and send him home.

This is this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. This dog needs to be freed & returned to his family! He only nipped that child because the kid had a mask on and he did not know who he was. This is totally unjust and unfair.

Hey animal control and loser DA, get a life and return that dog!

The dog was acting naturally, defending a member of his pack. The children's parents, the dogs owners, are the best judge of the severity of the situation, not a nosey neighbor that didn't even witness the actual incident first hand.

This dog needs to be home with his family now! Any dog would protect his family if someone was approaching with a mask on!
