After spending an entire day at a hospital in Seattle, I have to say it would have been AWFUL if they didn’t have free WiFi! In this day and age, it truly makes a huge difference. C’mon Canada, catch up :)

Daughter was in hospital in Victoria for 6 months. Cost us a fortune to have her be able to keep in touch. Daughter was 38 at the time. Being our hospitals up to date.....

This is a long time coming Both my sister and my late brother have medical problems we spend a lot of time in the hospital this will be very handy for them I see a lot of patients just looking at the walls that can’t get out of bed having free Wi-Fi in the rooms would give them access to their iPads or other devices which would give them access to the world and would help stimulate the brains thank you for starting this petition

When I was in the hospital I would have given my last jello to be able to Skype with my husband and son.

Oh hell ya. I asked my doctor why there isn't wi-fi and he said people would be able to hack into their private wi-fi. Utter nonsense!

As someone who has spent nearly a year of my life in hospital over the last 10 years, I truly believe this is a need for patients. I would have greatly appreciated being able to connect to the outside world.

Good for the morale of patients and the peace of mind of their families. Would also cut down on the number of calls to the nursing station.
