I just saw his case on reasonable doubt it's obvious that he has been wrongfully convicted.

When the legal system gets it wrong, it needs to make it right without prolonging the inevitable freedom of JR. Any reasonable person would conclude that JR is wrongfully convicted, but if there’s any doubt that reasonable people would agree on his innocence, why not out it in front of a new jury? Clearly there is information here that was not available at the trial…why prolonge a person’s suffering because the courts and police are afraid of being shown to have been wrong to charge JR? Mistakes happen…is it better to try and deny that this was a mistake and avoid giving an innocent person his freedom? Or is it better to make things right, even if it’s uncomfortable for the powers that made that mistake?

Most insane miscarriage of justice
I’ve Ever seen. Police should be ashamed of themselves for allowing a single witness with no evidence to be hypnotized to identify anyone! Then hide that information from the jury is beyond wrong. They’ve punished the victims family, as well as the defendant and his family! They should have been made show everything the witness did wrong and said or didn’t. It’s not about putting someone behind bars for a crime It’s about putting the right person behind bars. If police have to lie or hide or use hypnosis to convict there’s a huge issue. These cops needs to be behind bars in his place for as long as he’s been there and send him home. It should not be allowed to do any of the bs the cops did. Good luck getting him home and justice for the deceased and his grieving. Family who’s still suffering. Hugs, love and prayers for all the victims

I watched reasonable doubt, I read excerpts from the court transcripts, The only witness against him was hypnotized. The accuracy of witnesses that are hypnotized to identify an alleged perpetrator is only 33.33% accuracy. That is not sufficient for beyond a reasonable doubt. This child has been wartime in prison than the years he had in life before being incarcerated. He is unjustly in prison everything was taken from him. If he can’t be freed on the facts of the case alone the governor should give him clemency.

I watched documentary. I feel he is innocent . Main detective handled case very corruptly and obviously didn't care that the wrong man is in jail. He was an obvious liar and paying off people to make false testimony. I'm really shocked that he hasn't been given The opportunity for a new trial

Just watched his story on the show reasonable doubt, and I gotta tell, as someone looking from the outside on, with no knowledge of this young man or his case until now, I can see how flawed the states case was....the fact that the girlfriend cleaned and sold his truck before it was processed makes her extremely suspect to me. I've never heard of law enforcement using hypnosis to freshen the memory so that struck a chord as well. I fully believe that evaristo is innocent. Any one who cannot see such a miscarriage of justice ignorantly blind! Though his sentence is almost over, I pray he gets the justice he deserves!

This young man deserves to be set free and those involve in wrongfully convicting him should be punished especially law enforcement and the girlfriend she should have been punished in the beginning not only for tampering with evidence but covering up the murder of her childs father by lying and putting a innocent child in prison she should be ashamed of herself these people are all pathetic excuses of human beings there is a special place in hell for people like them and hopefully they get what they deserve
