I cannot believe that this poor man was convicted based off of a lying witness, who, even today, is lying. The jury themselves have stated that they NEVER would have convicted if they had all the evidence. Including multiple persons who named an older male as the shooter, her (Ophelia) stealing the evidence, having it cleaned, police intimidation on witnesses and informants, paying informants, and so on. There seems to be more corruption (I’m talking to you cops, prosecutors and judges!) the smaller the town. And this town is only proving this point. Not only should Ervaristo be released, but exonerated. I can only hope that these tyrants (or more likely, their children or grandchildren) involved in his conviction, will be railroaded by their own system, and at some point, know the odds they face to have it overturned. Karma will come back to them. Free Evaristo Salas Jr now! Arrest the real murderers: Ophelia and Ricardo.

The least this guy deserves is a new trial. No evidence, contradictory evidence. The girlfriend seems to be involved, not this random kid.

This case saddens me so bad and breaks my heart I can't believe he is still locked up after the evidence thar was found I wish there was a way to write evaristo so I could let him know that I'm on his side amd maybe we could become friends prison can be so lonely and so depressing I just want him to know that he's got people that believe in him out here.

And it's not fair that he is still in prison for a crime that he did not commit! The victim's girlfriend I'm sure had something to do with it because of her suspicious Behavior but yet he is still sitting in there for another person's crime. It's disgusting that they would not even give him a chance. I hope and pray he is able to have the most amazing life ever and hopefully heal and move on from this wrongful conviction..
