I watched the documentary and it would appear to me that the authorities just wanted a conviction. While they got a conviction they also took away the life of a young troubled man that needed guidance , not prison. I hope the right team of authorities step in and further investigate this story and it leads to the truth. My hope is Jr’s freedom is granted because he is innocent.

Exonerate him!

Although going down the wrong path in life as a teenager to be wrongly convicted of murder is tragic!! The new evidence found by the team shows without a doubt he is innocent and his retrial should be happening now. I hope he soon gets a chance to lead a normal life once again.

He must be released!!

I just saw this documentary and my heart is heavy with the grief this young man has suffered! The people who put him there should be ashamed and made to suffer like he has!!

After I watched the documentary series Wrong Man, I was convinced that there has been made a terrible mistake convicting Ernesto Salas Junior. In the Netherlands, where I’m from, a conviction is not possible if there is even the slightest doubt about somebody’s guilt. We believe it’s better to have a guilty person go free than to take years of the life of an innocent person. In my opinion there is a very real reason to doubt mr. Salas conviction and therefore I believe he has to be released from prison. You can never repay someone for the time they have lost, so it’s important to be extremely sure they did the crime if you make someone pay their time for it. I stand with Ernesto Salas and I’m praying for not only his release, but for a better justice system in the United States and for these mistakes to be avoided in the future.

God forgive the police officers and authorities that allowed this to happen

So sad for this poor guy who was not only sentenced for a crime he clearly didn’t commit, but at such a young age too. There seemed to be so much evidence that proved him innocent that was just disregarded. They need to lock up Ricardo, alongside Joses girlfriend Ofelia who probably knew him as witnesses recalled her telling him to leave Jose alone and that poor excuse for a detective Jim Rivard (who only tells teeny weeny lies like framing 14 year olds for murder).

Let him out .hurry up already

the officer that falsified evidence needs to be in jail. i can't believe we are still dealing with crooked cops. Also, that is a good kid; not a danger to society in anyway.

Truly sorry that America's judicial system FAILED you, your family, and the true victims of this senseless murder. By all facts available you were clearly railroaded for a crime you did NOT commit. Hopefully, your democratic Governor & State Senators will take up your cause to ensure justice is served rather than providing LIP SERVICE without action.
