For dancers who overheat easily, thick tights can cause real problems. It also seems odd that CLRG would make the job of the adjudicators harder on purpose. Surely that can't be their goal?

this is discrimination and SO old fashioned - my grandmother was complaining all the time that they had to wear nothing else but black stockings ....

Where does a ruling like this even come from? How do an 18-year-old's legs differ from that of a 17-year-old's, or a 19-year-old's? Adults should be allowed to make the same decisions a minor would in a scenario like this.
