The Petition

As An affiliate of the Innocence project since His Incarceration , Arnold Nichols Sr. has successfuly Passed a polygrapgh test that the lawyers of the case ask not be Included Into the case .. leaving Nichols without the proper representation , 


With the Incarceration of Arnold Nichols Sr. In 1993 In the state of columbus Ohio , the Victims of the family have since stated there case for the maximum penalty of the shooting of David Parker ( quadriplegic for nearly two decades ) After said Incident . Since , Held without bail , After three trials, he was sentenced to 39 to 86 years for attempted murder, felonious assault and robbery . the case Has since been ruled a Homicide . 


with the recent passing of the Victim due to natural causes , the family has decided to take it a step further with the continuation of the case & petition for the with holding of the Inmates eligibility to be released to a halfway house for the next 6 months before His eligibility for parole ( 16 Yrs after conviction ) . so far collecting 936 signatures , to keep Him In Jail . As of Jan 3rd , 2012 & the parole Board Is waiting 30 - 60 Days to make there decision @ this time .


As the Son of the defendant : ( Vincent Nichols Jr ) Congressional Award recipient , Community Activist & former employee to the Bloomberge administration In New York City . ( Journalist , Photographer , Musician enthusiast ) Clinton foundation affiliate & Urban entrepreneur In the fields of politics & music . 


- this petition Is the statement of the family members & supporters on the behalf of my fathers Incarceration . Requesting a Release On Time Served & Rehabilitation , 16Yrs for the Incarceration of my father has been Justice Served . time spent , with the teachings of the holy Quran & conversations with Us ( the family ) we know of his growth As an Individual . Nichols Has Been on His best behavior since His Incarceration witch makes Him eligible for His parole . Please Bring my father Home.. Sign & Release .
