This building has seen more history than any of us ever will. There are so many other sites for “affordable housing “, which is code for “overpriced condos near downtown “.

Any site with a history such as this should be saved! How can we justify destroying our history?

It would be a tragic loss to demolish this church building. Franklinton's renewal has to include incorporating existing buildings with new infill structures built on vacant spaces, of which there are plenty, to give the area a unique look. It survived the 13' flood for God sake!!!!

Please find a way to save the church AND provide affordable housing. Surely we are smart enough to do this.

This could be an amazing asset to East Franklinton if the building is adapted for new use. A mix of old and new architecture is what makes a city visually interesting without sacrificing history.
