As a bus driver, I even asked the kids what they think and they all were against it! Changing the time is not ok ! There's enough pressure on these kids and now you want to make things later for them, sports later, eating later, homework later, going to bed later. That doesn't sound like a solution. Plus by cutting the buses your cutting jobs. Did the committee think of that, or any added financial stress for childcare. NO they are selfish and clearly this town doesn't agree with the time change. Put your listening ears on committee, we say NO!

This is not convenient for me or my family. I leave for work early in the morning and both my kids play sports and that will be affected as far as practice and game times after school. This just doesn’t make any sense. It’s not broke leave it as it is!

Changing start times is unnecessary and will cause more disruption than good.

I appreciate all the work and research that has gone into this, however the focus has been on HS students and sleep. What about the elementary and middle school student readiness to learn in the morning? I understand the sentiment, but I am not on board for this and many other reasons.

No children HS included should be in school that early in my opinion, especially the younger grade children.

Changing school start times is unnecessary. The negative impact to families far outweighs any supposed benefit.

This will have such a negative impact on working families and HS sports and their after school employment.

This is the cause of unnecessary hardship families. The students should go to bed earlier. This is the time to teach self-control.

as a STUDENT who does after school activities, NOT connected to the school, i cant just change my schedule bc of school. I have homework to do, and if i get out of school late i wont be able to do it before my activities. WE ARE MAKING KIDS LAZY!!! Stop this. Teachers and adult complain abt how the kids of today are lazy, well by doing this your feeding into it. Kids already go to bed super late, this isnt fixing the problem.

Kids will just stay up later because they wouldn’t have to get up as early so there goes their 8 hours sleep! I don’t have any kids in school anymore but it seems pretty ridiculous.
