We call on Governor Christie and the Legislature to:
Adopt policies and programs that will address the continuing crisis of home foreclosures, including taking immediate action to use funding that has been designated for this purpose.
Increase the supply of housing that is affordable to low and moderate income families and individuals, including seniors, disabled, veterans and special needs populations, by using at least 90% of the money in the state’s affordable housing trust fund.
Ensure that the State Rental Assistance Program has a dedicated source of funding in the state budget.
Governor Christie is finally feeling the heat because this movement is growing too loud for him to ignore anymore. We have the numbers now to force their hand and demand they stop withholding the trust funds meant for our families.
